“I would want to be remembered as the girl who never stopped believing that God would completely heal me and bless me with all my heart’s desires. I also hope people would remember my kind, giving, and loving spirit along with my witty sense of humor.” –Lexie Seaver.
For everyone that knew Lexie and got the opportunity to witness the fight in her knows that she never stopped fighting, never stopped believing, and never let the negatives out-weigh the positives; and how can we forget about Lexie’s witty sense of humor and contagious laugh? Now it’s up to her vast network of friends and family to continue her kind, giving, and loving spirit with the annual Lexie’s Legacy Toy Drive.
I want to apologize in advance for anyone that is left out in this article who is doing the hard work that it takes to continue on Lexie’s Legacy. Lexie considered the toy drive a full-time job and it is truly a lot of work. Hats off to Kristi Fleming-Stortz, Major Masech, and Tia Unseth for taking on the tasks of Lexie’s Legacy Toy Drive. Nice work ladies!!!
I can go on and on about how Lexie started the toy drive, what I meant to her, and the effects it has on kids, but I want today I’m going to write about how you can help. Here we go:
WHO: Everyone
WHAT: Lexie’s Legacy Toy Drive
WHERE: Drop-offs can be made at Sneakers Sports Bar & Grill. 1221 Woodman Rd, Janesville, WI
WHEN: November 1 – December 19
WHY: To donate toys to kids who might not get a present under the tree. All donations will be made to the Ronald McDonald House and Toys 4 Tots.
HOW: Simply drop off any NEW toys at Sneakers or contact Kristi, Major, or Tia with any other questions.
Lexie considered the toy drive as a way she can help others beyond her time she spent with us. I think we can all be a part of continuing her legacy by donating and spreading the word about the great cause that Lexie started. Let’s do this guys….Lexie’s Legacy Toy Drive 2016.
