Turgeon’s Wood Fired Pizza, located at 686 Trail Gulch Road in Gypsum, made their debut at the 2016 Gypsum Days serving slices of pizza to hungry patrons. “We were happy, excited, & nervous all rolled into one. The response from people was great and we were happy to be there.” Says Theresa Hoffman, owner/operator.

This isn’t Rick Turgeon’s first time serving pies, he’s been making pizza for over 10 years, perfecting his family dough recipe and developing specialty pizzas to offer to the public. Rick uses peach tree hardwood to cook the pizzas to a thin or hand-worked crust. “Our fresh flavor and made from scratch quality is what sets us apart from other pizza.” Says Turgeon.
From an on-looker’s perspective I saw more than just pizza with these two. “I appreciate all the customer responses to the quality and taste of their pizza”, states Rick. “I enjoy dealing with people and serving them delicious food”, says Theresa. Their thoughts on the favorite parts of the business is what keeps people coming back, along with the great taste. They have a special relationship with the high school and it’s students, offering $1 off any order $3 or more until 4pm.
