Dot Zero Multimedia – Local Business Spotlight

Dot Zero Multimedia is a Marketing/Advertising resource serving the mountain towns of Colorado. Located in Gypsum, Colorado, Dot Zero Multimedia got its start in 2018 as Tyler Buscemi saw the need for a local Digital Marketing partner to help local businesses grow. “Growing a local business is always a challenge, but the challenge is even greater in our small mountain towns. I created Dot Zero Multimedia to be that consistent partner to work alongside local business owners in their journey down the complex world of mountain town Marketing/Advertising,” says Buscemi . We sat down with Tyler and learned a little bit more about how he’s helping local businesses grow through education and lending a helping hand.

Tell us the story behind the creation of Dot Zero Multimedia?

Dot Zero Multimedia started because of our thirst for knowledge on how to find success running a business in our small mountain town of Dotsero. We found that there are several sources of information on marketing/advertising a business, but not unique to small mountain towns. It’s a different ball game when the population is only 5,000 people, resources aren’t readily available, and marketing budgets are slim. Local businesses in our mountain towns really need their advertising to work because their livelihood depends on it. We wanted to lend a helping hand and make sure the resources were made available for every small mountain town business to find success.

What products or services do you offer? Do you have any signature products/services?

We offer guidance and feedback on current/future marketing programs. This might include help with a website, search engine optimization, digital marketing, getting your business/organization listed on Google, social media management, or simply just who to connect with in our local community, such as the Chamber of Commerce, or provide a list of local networking meetings. We found that a lot of times it doesn’t need to get that technical…business owners just need some ideas and a person to point them in the right direction.

Our signature product is the Local Business Spotlight. These articles help bring local businesses to the forefront and provide visibility to their name, product, and/or services. This article itself is an example of a Local Business Spotlight.

What inspired you to enter the Advertising/Marketing industry?

Advertising/Marketing is intriguing to me. It’s always changing. Businesses need to adapt to what the customer wants/needs at the right time. It’s kind of like hunting (minus the blood and bullets). The payoff in the end of a successful campaign is knowing that people saw your offer, took action, and interacted with your brand/product/service.

Who is your ideal customer?

Our ideal customer is anyone who is seeking help in the advertising/marketing of their business/organization. It doesn’t matter the question we want to lend a hand. If we can help, great!! If not, we want to come up with a plan to find that help.

Where do you see Dot Zero Multimedia in the next 3-5 years?

We see Dot Zero Multimedia as the local connector in the field of Marketing/Advertising. We might not have the bandwith to take on all projects, but we definitely want to give business/organizations an actionable plan that they can use to drive their success foreward.

What makes your offerings different from competitors?

We are local! We live and breathe the same air you do. We are your neighbors and struggle with the same issues as you. We understand the market. We’ll be honest, there are a ton of options for marketing/advertising, we want to find the right strategy that is tailored to your business/organization. We’re above all connectors.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

Just start. It doesn’t have to be perfect the first time. Just start.

What’s something people might not know about your business?

We don’t charge for giving us a call and asking a question. We don’t charge for giving local businesses advice on how to create a successful marketing/advertising campaign.

How can readers support your business?

The best way readers can support us is by giving us a call/email, introducing themselves, and give us an idea of your goals. That’s what we’re here for and how you can support us…by allowing us to help and generate a plan that you can use. Readers can also support us by reading our blog, by signing up for our newsletter, or following us on social media.
